Super Oatmeal

And now it is time for my Super Oatmeal!
The serving amount is 10 with my measurements. (I put my extras into mason jars and eat them throughout the week)
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups of oats
  • 3 cups of whey
  • 3 spoonful of hersey’s cocoa special dark
  • 1.5 cup of flax
  • 3 cups of blueberries (usually the whole 12 oz. bag)
  • 3 small boxes or 3 handful of raisins
  • 6 cups of water
  • dab of milk
I normally use a rice cooker, so I just place all the items into the rice cooker, stir the mixture, and then set it for cook.
If you don’t have a rice cooker, just boil the 6 cups of water first. Once the water is at a boil, put your oats in, put the heat on medium, and stir it up until the oats have start to absorb the water. Then start mixing all the other ingredients one by one, WHILE stirring.
Finally, ENJOY!

Frontega Chicken Sandwich

This post will be about a great sandwich I had at Panera, the Frontega Chicken Sandwich!
Recipe for two!
Ingredients:
  •  1 Canned Chicken
  • 1 serving of 2% Milk Mozzarella or Provolone
  • Strips of (or diced) Red Pepper
  • 1/4 cup of diced red onions
  • 2 slices of tomato
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 sandwich breads
Spicy Mayo Spread (optional):
  • 1/2 cup of Light Mayo
  • 1/4 cup of green chili
  • 2-3 dabs of crushed red pepper
  • 2-3 dabs of cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of lime juice (or to taste)
Get a medium sized skillet, put a teaspoon of olive oil in it. Heat it on medium and then once thats nice and hot, add the canned chicken into it.  Sprinkle some salt and pepper into it while it cooks. Stir the chicken around, but eventually just let it settle on one side, wait until it browns a little, then stir again and cook the other side. Take the skillet off the heat. The next part is optional if you don’t want spicy mayo.
In a cup, put your mayo into it, add all the ingredients of the spicy mayo spread, and mix!
Now lay out your sandwich bread, and put your mayo spread on both sides of the bread. Now just place the red pepper & tomato on one bread, put the chicken on top, and then place the cheese on top!
I would suggest toasting the sandwich until the cheese starts to melt and bubble a little.
Then enjoy!
I will try to get a pricing on this the next time I buy the ingredients. And I will try to time the process too.
